Studio space is often available for rent.  Costs begin at $25/hour with a $75 minimum per month. Insurance included plus opportunity to promote your class by way of our long established web presence.  ______________

TEACHER TRAINING

We have offered a one to two year TEACHER TRAINING GUIDELINE PROGRAM since 1978.   Recently added is a FAST TRACK internal training program for previously certified or experienced applicants at an initial cost of $520. This covers 3 months of INTERN training with required attendance in a minimum of 60 classes. Mentoring is included. The slower track of 1-3 years requires regular attendance plus a one time INTERN fee of $120.

PART I-REQUIRED

 Written reports or reviews on readings, conferences, workshops, supplementary classes, etc. are required. Regular attendance in training classes, specialty classes, and events is required. Opportunities for teaching assistance are available for proven interns. Our mentoring and monitoring program is a practicum which is loosely and flexibly structured and is most suitable for the self-motivated, self-starter, service-oriented individual.

PART II-REQUIRED

Continues with 100 hours of practice teaching, substitute teaching and developing your own strengths or creative ideas of service to the yoga field locally.  Opportunities to merge your yoga with business acumen are made available.  We do not require that you come with certification. However, your training hours may be transferable by way of an interactive arrangement among various yoga certification programs which we endorse and support.
 

FINIS

Upon successful completion of the requirements, a personalized referral and recommendation is awarded. This method of certification has assured a 100% success rate for yoga teacher placement far and wide.  Our program has been accredited by and affiliated with the Indiana University Department of Kinesiology since l994.

                                               We remain dedicated to the roots of traditional yoga and to the changes, expansion and understanding of yoga's time tested benefits.

Intuitive and empathetic teaching remains the bedrock of the LMYS program. Thank you for your interest, comments, and queries.

Your own private single, pair, or group class may be arranged to accommodate your schedule or a special occasion:

          Costs begin at $70/hour.

All may find a peace of quiet in our atmospheric studios.

Custom Created Classes
Any yoga class or series of classes for specific physical conditions; to accommodate your own schedule; or for fun; may be organized for a minimum of six (6) students. Let us know what you need.

Advanced classes or concentrated areas of yoga study have periodically been a part of our curriculum. Such classes include:

• Double's Yoga
• Technique Specifics
• Pranayama
• Kirtan/Chanting
• Basic Sanskrit
• Meditation

and may be reorganized for a committed number of students.  Ask.
