Develop an understanding of the relationship of yoga for stretching and release, to pilates for contraction and strengthening.  Focus on core and shoulder girdle muscles.   Beginner to moderate levels (I-II)

 

 

Tai Chi/Chi Kung/Seniors

  Tues 4:30pm    

 Standing postures attend to breath, balance and gentle circular movements. The practice is nicely repetitive allowing for meditative, relaxing, and toning benefits.

  Beginner level (I)

 

 

Vinyasa Yoga

 Intermediate/experienced level (II-III).  This recently popular style choreographs postures into flow sequences while remaining rooted in traditional yoga.
